Labeled an urban center by the Chester County officials, Elverson is a quiet, quaint town tucked in the northwestern corner of the County, bordering Berks County to the west. Traveling west on route 401 or 23, one gets the immediate feel of being in the country. Locally, Elverson is described as the best square mile in the county, state or even country. Pedestrian-friendly, residents enjoy walking, running or biking the safe sidewalks or pathways connecting the communities of Summerfield and Parkside and Livingood Park.
Convenience to shopping and major arteries is only about 2 miles west with a Walmart Center and the Morgantown Turnpike exchange. And further west, you will find that fresh fruit, vegetables and flowers abound in lovely Lancaster County.
So, the well-known adage – “go west, young man, go west” – is true. Travel a few miles west and experience small town living at its best in beautiful Elverson.
